Yesterday, during an assessment day at university, I got the most incredible news… Rupert’s Mates has only made it through to the finals of the 2025 Animal Star Awards!!! We’ll be attending the awards ceremony in Leeds later this year and we’re absolutely over the moon.
Truthfully, I was already beyond grateful just to be nominated. But to now be announced as a finalist? It’s something I never could’ve imagined this time last year.
If I could speak to myself a year ago, lost in grief, unsure of the future , I’d tell him… ‘you will get through the storm. You’ll find purpose, you’ll build something great, and one day, you’ll be walking your dog while running a business that brings you joy and meaning’
Let this honestly be a message to anyone going through tough times:
The storm does pass.
Keep going.
Great things can happen.
